As a beginner, is pro L 2 worth getting?

Main Post:

Just trying to get my stuff louder, but I only end up distorting my low end.

I know a lot of this just starts with a good mix but its hard to tell whats going to happen when I slam everthing into a limiter or compressor to get it louder.

I know there aren't magic plug ins that make your stuff better but I've heard good things about Fabs limiter and that it does a better job than abletons stock limiter.

Edit

Did not expect to get this many replies. Just wanted to express gratitude for all the input. Thank you.

Top Comment: Absolutely not. If you're new, you have way more important things to focus on than an expensive limiter. Ableton stock plugins do everything you need for a long time.

Optolong Lpro filter worth it?

Main Post:

I'm in a bortle 6 and was wondering how worth it the Lpro filter will be? For anyone that had used it, how big of a difference did you notice in the quality of your data?

Top Comment: Traveling to darker skies is more worth it. Is that not feasible?

Unlock L band on Unify Pro?

Main Post:

So I currently use L Band one all my quads, but recently I got onboard of a project that will require a 5V VTX.

So I stuck with the Unify Pro V2, which is 5V and has up to 800mW of power.

The thing is I love my L-Band, and Kabab FPV pointed out that the Unify does have L-Band (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn7XWsxS4EI) and the manual also says "40/48 channel VTX".

The thing is, how do I select it?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I've figured that it isnt as simple as changing channels via the button since it's probably locked out, so it's probably configurable via SmartAudio?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

EDIT: I'd like to point out that broadcasting in the 5.3ghz band is legal on my country

Top Comment:

You need smart audio enabled, then you select "USER FREQ" along with all relevant mod freq etc.

Pro Tips - Light Shield L Cancelling

Main Post: Pro Tips - Light Shield L Cancelling

Top Comment:

Imo the main benefit of doing this, even more than the gameplay benefits, is greatly reduced hand strain, can't imagine how fucked my index finger would be if I did full press for every single l-cancel

Pro controller L & R Button pressure!?

Main Post:

Ok so I know this has been an issue for some already but after holding off for a long time before buying a pro controller (instead opting for second joycon set first) I finally pulled the trigger and lets just say Im not that impressed, given all the praise it receives on reviews

the L and R buttons either have to be pressed at a certain angle ie. the corners or extra pressure is needed to make them register if holding the controller with fingers wrapped around the entire shoulder button i'm assuming the way its meant to be held without bending index finger.

for example I can make the said buttons click without registering but cant do the same with any of the other buttons inc the joycons all the buttons register when they click.

subconsciously we use the feedback of the click to know we've pressed the button so this seems to be either a design flaw or I got a dud.

so to the question how many have noticed it and is it normal?

and

am I wasting my time trying to get one the works as I think it should?

Top Comment: Had mine for going on 3 years and never had a problem.
